Our chardonnay wines are sourced from our 5 vineyards, all of which are located in varying cool-climate maritime locations across the Mornington Peninsula. We have perfected our winemaking techniques to complement the unique qualities of each vineyard, in a style that reflects each location. Each chardonnay illustrates a distinguished aromatic profile, unique to the grapes grown in each vineyard. Our Mornington Peninsula chardonnays are known for their unique blend of citrus and stone fruits, including lemon, lime, grapefruit, nectarine and white peach, that create a perfect balance of acidity and sweetness. Montalto accompanies these traditional flavours with a complex orchestra of unmatched textures and aromas such as lemon curd, crème brulee, lime splice, roasted hazelnuts and white florals, resulting in wines which are captivating and distinctive.

Montalto’s chardonnays continue to impress critics around the world, winning a prestigious selection of awards, year on year. The 2021 Pennon Hill Chardonnay was awarded the Regional Trophy for best Mornington Peninsula Chardonnay, while the Montalto Chardonnay 2021 won Provenance Awards for Chardonnay at the 2022 Mornington Peninsula Vignerons Wine Show.
