One of Montalto’s principles has always been to produce chardonnays of outstanding quality and character, but with their own individualistic textures, aromas and tannins. Our chardonnay wines are sourced from our 5 vineyards, all of which are located in varying cool-climate maritime locations across the Mornington Peninsula. We have perfected our winemaking techniques to complement the unique qualities of each vineyard, in a style that reflects each location. Each chardonnay illustrates a distinguished aromatic profile, unique to the grapes grown in each vineyard. Those seeking to develop their palate will not be disappointed by the magnificent chardonnays Montalto has to offer.
Our Mornington Peninsula chardonnays are known for their unique blend of citrus and stone fruits, including lemon, lime, grapefruit, nectarine and white peach, that create a perfect balance of acidity and sweetness. Montalto accompanies these traditional flavours with a complex orchestra of unmatched textures and aromas such as lemon curd, crème brulee, lime splice, roasted hazelnuts and white florals, resulting in wines which are captivating and distinctive.
A visit to Montalto is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a guided, seated tasting of our elegant chardonnays at The Cellar Door, open from 11am – 5pm, 7 days a week.
