From May – September, The Piazza is open Monday – Friday from 11.30am – 4.30pm (kitchen closes at 3.30pm), mid-week bookings are available and can be made online. On weekends, The Piazza is open from 11am – 5pm (kitchen closes at 4pm).
On weekends, The Piazza operates on a walk ins only basis for groups of under 10 people.
We welcome walk ins anytime however we are busiest between 12pm - 2pm, especially on the weekends. If there is a wait time, we’ll take your phone number and call you when your table becomes available. Whilst you’re waiting, enjoy a tasting in The Cellar Door, wander the Sculpture Trail or simply stretch out on the lawn and enjoy the view and a glass of wine from our dedicated Lawn Bar.

Our dedicated Lawn Bar will be open throughout winter (weather depending), serving drinks and snacks to enjoy on the lush lawn overlooking the vines.
We take bookings in The Piazza for groups of 10 – 16 guests. A $20 (per person) deposit is payable at the time of booking.
For groups of 10 or more adults, all guests are required to dine on our ‘Feed Me’ menu ($70 per person) – an abundant chef’s selection of shared entrees, mains, and sides. Children can order off our à la carte menu on the day. Please note: our “Feed Me” menu changes weekly, please click HERE for a sample menu.

For groups of 17 or more our Garden Room is the perfect relaxed and informal space to host your special event. The Piazza Garden Room offers outdoor, undercover seating overlooking our kitchen gardens, vines and sculpture trail.
The Garden Grazing menu is $80 per person and is designed to share, with a focus on seasonal, estate-grown produce. To begin: bread and olives, followed by our chef’s selection of smaller shared dishes, flat bread, larger mains and sides. To finish: generous cheese plates featuring a selection of the best local cheeses, alongside preserves from the Montalto Pantry Collection. Click HERE for a sample menu.

Montalto is all about sharing: food, wine and good times with loved ones; connecting with each other and to the surrounding environment. The Piazza is an outdoor dining experience where you can sit overlooking Wendy’s Garden and likely see chefs picking produce, herbs and flowers for the day’s menus.
From early beginnings of a few small garden beds planted by Wendy Mitchell, our kitchen garden is one of the oldest in Victoria and has grown to become of the largest operations in Australia. Now at three acres, and managed by our Produce Manager Julie Bennett, the installation of 100m2 of polytunnels allows delicate crops to flourish over the cooler months and brings another dynamic to year-round production.
