The Piazza operates on a walk ins only basis for groups of under 10 people.
We welcome walk ins anytime however we are busiest between 12pm - 2pm, especially on the weekends. If there is a wait time, we’ll take your phone number and call you when your table becomes available. Whilst you’re waiting, enjoy a tasting in The Cellar Door, wander the Sculpture Trail or simply stretch out on the lawn and enjoy the view and a glass of wine from our dedicated Lawn Bar.

When the weather is beautiful, this includes our Lawn Bar too! With its very own menu and easy QR code ordering system, you’re free to enjoy all the snacks and all the wines whilst relaxing on the lush green lawns overlooking the vines. The perfect sunny day activity!

THE BAMBOOS LIVE AT MONTALTO
Read the full event announcement and book your tickets in The Restaurant or out on the lawn to enjoy a twilight performance from one of Australia’s most iconic funk and soul bands.
We take bookings in The Piazza for groups of 10 – 16 adults. A $20 (per person) deposit is payable at the time of booking.
For groups of 10 or more adults, all guests are required to dine on our ‘Feed Me’ menu ($75 per person) – an abundant chef’s selection of shared entrees, mains, and sides. Additional children can order off our à la carte menu on the day. Please note: our “Feed Me” menu changes weekly, please click HERE for a sample menu.

For groups of 17 or more adults, our Garden Room is the perfect relaxed and informal space to host your special event. The Piazza Garden Room offers outdoor, undercover seating overlooking our kitchen gardens, vines and sculpture trail. For more information please click HERE
The Garden Grazing menu is $85 per person and is designed to share, with a focus on seasonal, estate-grown produce. To begin: a generous serving of focaccia (with our olive oil for dipping), housemade hummus and estate-grown olives, followed by our chef’s selection of smaller shared dishes - think arancini, fried haloumi and kingfish crudo. Montalto is all about sharing: food, wine and good times with loved ones; connecting with each other and to the surrounding environment. The Piazza is an outdoor dining experience where you can sit overlooking our gardens and likely see chefs picking produce, herbs and flowers for the day’s menus.
What began decades ago as a handful of small garden beds is now recognised as one of the oldest and most established kitchen gardens in Victoria. Across three acres, under the care of Produce Manager Julie Bennett, the garden continues to evolve, supported by 100 square metres of polytunnels that allow more delicate crops to thrive through the cooler months and ensure year round abundance.
