When the sun slides behind the ridge and the vineyards glow gold, Montalto shifts gear into one of the Peninsula’s great summer rituals: Twilight. From Saturday 27 December 2025 to Saturday 7 March 2026, Saturday evenings across the estate are dedicated to unhurried dining, award-winning wines and time well spent.
Twilight in The Restaurant is a $130pp four-course experience, shaped by the day’s best from our estate gardens and trusted local producers. Expect produce-first cooking from Head Chef Adam Johnston - elegant, seasonal and deeply connected to place - with optional wine pairings or selections from our impressive collection.
As daylight softens, the dining room opens to views across vines and sculpture, pacing naturally with the evening. It’s slow, generous and designed to be memorable - whether it’s your highlight of a weekend away or an intentional escape from the city.
Prefer something more casual? The Piazza shifts into evening mode each Saturday of the Twilight season.
Settle in under the summer sky with a couple of pizzas or a chilled bottle and watch the estate wind down for the night - the perfect setting for effortless Peninsula catch-ups.
For something truly unhurried, our Twilight Picnics return every Saturday of the season.
Inclusions: Hosted Cellar Door tasting, then a three-course set menu at a secluded, beautifully set private picnic site (with a bottle of Montalto wine between two).

Arriving early? Begin with a seated tasting in our Cellar Door (open 11:00am – 5:00pm, seven days; no Twilight hours), then stroll the Sculpture Trail before you settle in for dinner. It’s the quintessential Montalto evening rhythm.
