$2,200 for two people.
Begin the day with a coffee of your choice, as we invite you upstairs into Alto: our private wine room overlooking the estate. Our team will share a brief history of Montalto, our estate, vineyards and
wines before sharing an in-depth itinerary for the day ahead.
First stop: a tour of our home estate including a visit to each of our stunning onsite vineyards. There’ll be plenty of stops along the way with our winemaking team explaining how each block fits within our Pinot Noir program before the tour concludes at one of our private picnic sites with a tasting of our latest release North One Pinot Noir.
Private transfers will then take you from Montalto to meet up with our winemakers who will take you on a tour of our offsite vineyards. You will experience first-hand the sense of place that characterises our Single Vineyard Pinot Noirs.
Experience the different soil
types, explore the vines, and taste the finished wines from each site before heading to the winery.
Upon your arrival at the winery, the winemaking team will guide you through a barrel tasting of current vintage wines, whilst explaining how each was made.
After gaining a true appreciation for the diversity of each location and its expression in the glass, it’s time to head to Montalto for a generous 4-course lunch (with matched wines) in The Restaurant, whilst taking in stunning views across our home vineyard in Red Hill.
Specifically designed to share, curated collections of dishes will arrive at the table in a series of courses. Each course masterfully highlights the deep connection between our estate gardens (expertly managed by our Produce Manager Julie Bennett), our kitchens and our award-winning wines.
After lunch, we invite you to explore the Montalto Sculpture Trail. Sculpture is an integral part of life at Montalto and a highlight of any visit to the estate. Our 1km Sculpture Trail winds through our vines, along wooden boardwalks and through the wetlands and affords spectacular views of both the sculptures and the property along the way. Many of our permanent sculptures were winners of the Montalto Sculpture Prize – among the most valuable private sculpture prizes in Australia.
