One of Montalto’s principal techniques has always been to harness the unique maritime conditions of the peninsula. During the summer and autumn months, warm northerly winds are tempered by the waters of Port Phillip Bay, Westernport Bay and Bass Strait. The cooling effect lengthens the ripening period, preserving the delicate aromas and flavours of the Sauvignon Blanc grapes.
Our Mornington Peninsula Sauvignon Blancs are known for their fragrant blend of classic aromas of passionfruit, gooseberry, guava and lychee, delivering succulent full-bodied freshness. Montalto accompanies these flavours with a complex bouquet of notes, such as talc, gun smoke, and spice, and an intricate barrel fermenting process, delivering a mouthfeel that is scintillating, textured and plentiful.
