"Pale straw with green hues, with a core of tangy citrus fruit including lemons, limes and grapefruit. Add to this a fusion of white florals, white peach, wet river stone, crème brûlée and brioche aromas. There is subtle oak influence with hints of struck match and a dash of savoury chicken stock finishing with a creamy mouthfeel from both oak handling and lees work."

Simon Black, Chief Winemaker.

REVIEWS

"From 11 rows of clone P58 (ex-Penfolds) planted in 1986 on the home vineyard. Elegant and delicious, with every aspect handled by winemaker Simon Black with the touch of a master. Grapefruit, lemon and white peach varietal fruit expression.” Score 96/100.

James Halliday, Halliday Wine Companion.

"Are friends electric? Preserved lemon, a slight struck match, grapefruit and cinnamon spice. It’s juicy and spicy and flinty, has quite a lot of grapefruity/citrus acidity, but also delivers lots of zesty flavour, very long too with white peach and long seams of acidity. Chalk dust texture, Japanese ginger, and boundless energy. Electricity coursing through its veins. At the moment, a little like staring at the sun, but such potential and verve.” Score 95/100.

Gary Walsh, The Wine Front.

"The Eleven. Pat Cummins could be the face of this label, but not so. It's named after the eleven rows first planted back in 1986. Concentrated and alluring, this is just brilliant Chardonnay… Super classy as you'd come to expect from Simon Black if you follow his Chardonnays closely. Go here, it's so joyous that you deserve a piece of the action.” Score 96/100.
