As the summer sun shines brightly across the Mornington Peninsula, we warmly invite you to immerse yourself in exceptional culinary and wine experiences at Montalto. Our estate offers a variety of settings to suit every style of catch up – friends, families or end of year celebrations with colleagues.
Starting 1st December 2024, The Restaurant will be open for lunch from Friday to Monday. Post-Christmas, we extend our lunch service to every day from Saturday 28th December 2024 through until Monday 13th January 2025, excluding Wednesday 1st January, and Wednesday 8th January.
Our ever-changing set menu showcases a seasonal celebration of our estate-grown heirloom produce and the finest locally sourced ingredients from the Mornington Peninsula. Each course is thoughtfully designed to share, highlighting the deep connection between our estate gardens, kitchens, and award-winning wines.
RESERVATIONS ESSENTIAL
For a more relaxed dining experience, The Piazza welcomes guests daily from 11am to 5pm, with the kitchen closing at 4pm.
Please note that reservations are only available for groups of 10 to 16 guests; smaller groups are accommodated on a walk-in basis. We recommend arriving early, especially on weekends, to secure your spot. If there is a wait for your table, you are welcome to enjoy a wine tasting in The Cellar Door, explore the Sculpture Trail (including our Maquette exhibition https://montalto.com.au/blogs/events/sculpture-exhibition-montalto, or relax on the lawn with a glass of wine from our dedicated Lawn Bar.
The Cellar Door is open 7 days from 11am to 5pm throughout summer. Every Saturday from 28th December 2024 to 22nd February 2025, we offer an additional late afternoon tasting at 4pm. Reservations are available, and walk-ins are always welcome. We offer a range of seated tastings and wine experiences, all hosted by our experienced and knowledgeable wine team.

Experience the natural beauty of Montalto with our private picnics, available for 2 to 8 guests. From 27th December 2024 to 13th January 2025, picnics are available daily from 11am sharp. For larger groups, our Trout Dam site is available from 1st December 2024 to 22nd February 2025. Reservations are essential.

We have some breathtaking festive dining packages for end of year celebrations of all shapes and sizes open. From private dining in The Restaurant, casual catch ups in The Piazza or Garden Room (overlooking the stunning kitchen gardens) to spectacular private locations across the estate, we’re here to help make the end of the year truly something special for you and your guests.
From Saturday 28th December 2024 through until Saturday 22nd February 2025, our estate transforms into the perfect summer’s evening retreat, offering unforgettable opportunities for summer catch ups with family and friends.
Montalto will be closed to visitors on Wednesday 25th December 2024 (Christmas Day), and Thursday 26th December 2024 (Boxing Day).
