Spring is in the air – the time of plans and projects! Our garden workshops give you all the knowledge and skills to get started in your very own backyard, utilising all the tips, tricks and experience from our estate gardens.
During this half day workshop, Julie will introduce you to the important (and useful!) skill of growing from seeds and:
The difference between hybrid, genetically modified and heirloom seeds, including how and why we should all be saving our own seeds
How to ensure seed purity
How to make your own cost-effective seed raising mix
How to correctly plant seeds including what can be directly sown versus what needs to be started in seed trays
This invaluable workshop will have you germinating your own heirloom seeds so you’ll never have to purchase seedling punnets again!
We’ll supply:
Safety glasses
Gardening tools
Detailed notes to take home
You’ll need to bring:
Gardening gloves
Waterproof footwear or gumboots
Raincoat
A sense of adventure
