Mornington Peninsula
‘’The charm of the Tuerong Pinot Noir begins with its intricate nose. Lavender florals and pan juices, reminiscent of au jus, combine with more familiar fruit aromas of strawberry and blood orange. The palate is savory blend of fennel seed and licorice along with iodine and root vegetables courtesy of the whole bunch component. There is red fruit here too, and some intense blood orange leading to a savory line on the finish. It’s a wine that invites you to revisit it again and again to contemplate its evolution over time.''
Simon Black, Chief Winemaker.
REVIEWS
‘’A superfine expression of Tuerong although it still tantalises with its rich fruit profile, all dark cherries and strawberries with a squirt of menthol. Appealing twiggy and Campari-esque characters thanks to the whole bunches in the ferment; tangy, juicy yet ripe if finer tannins and the acidity pulls everything into submission.‘’ Score 95/100.

"This brings the silk. This is an excellent example of Mornington Peninsula pinot noir, its fruit as much black cherried as strawberried, its undergrowth notes threaded with spice, its twig-like aspects lifted with florals. It’s swirled with herb and stalk notes but it’s flush with fruit and everything, in any case, glides smoothly along, start to finish. Impressive wine, impressive producer.” Score 95/100.
