"Such an excellent colour, an enticing dark purple garnet; it’s not a big wine, but it is vivacious thanks to its acidity and light grainy tannins. A whorl of plums, star anise and a hint of pepper plus more savoury accents of tar and warm earth. Delicious wine.”
Jane Faulkner, Halliday Wine Companion.
“Now that Julie’s estate-grown raspberries are slowing down, wild blackberries are popping up across the estate. Picked daily, these will be turned into a refreshing sorbet to sit alongside a rich dark chocolate and crème fraiche tart.”
Adam Johnston, Head Chef.

"February brings hot days and fast ripening of our cucumbers, tomatoes, zucchinis and the first of our mini rock melons. Sweetcorn is harvested from the safety of our netted garden, and tomatoes are in peak season. We’re harvesting large crates of salad mix, basil and parsley in the cool of the morning before the heat sets in for the day.
Winter crops of celery, broccoli and cabbages are germinating in our greenhouse and will wait patiently for be our summer crops to finish being harvested."
Julie Bennett, Produce Manager
