Books and Ideas presented by the Wheeler Centre | 2019 Package Two released

From September to November, Books and Ideas at Montalto offers you an immersive look at the stories behind the stories – featuring outstanding food and wine, fascinating company and the opportunity to hear from some of Australia’s most treasured authors in an intimate and relaxed setting.

Acclaimed author Charlotte Wood (The Natural Way of Things) has been both longlisted and shortlisted for the Miles Franklin Award. In her latest book, The Weekend, she explores female friendship and ageing.

Rick Morton was, until recently, the social affairs writer for the Australian; his unflinching memoir, One Hundred Years of Dirt, has been praised by Christos Tsiolkas as ‘honest and harsh and beautiful and loving’.

And Australian literary heavyweight Sophie Cunningham will talk about her latest essay collection, City of Trees: Essays on Life, Death and the Need for a Forest, about trees – how we live with them, and what they tell us about life.

Trade the hustle of the city for the rustle of Red Hill on the Mornington Peninsula. Don’t miss out; reserve your seat at the table today. Please visit the events page on our websiteor Facebook

Presented in partnership with the Wheeler Centre.
