We’re thrilled to announce a very special collaboration with Main Ridge’s Ten Minutes by Tractor, celebrating the very best cool climate wines from across the Mornington Peninsula.
On Sunday 25th August, join us for an exclusive experience focused on the very best of both Montalto and Ten Minutes by Tractor.
Starting at 11.30am, we’ll go beyond The Cellar Door and off the beaten track to uncover the stories behind each of Montalto’s award-winning wines. Our Chief Winemaker, Simon Black, will take you a private tour of some of Montalto’s most iconic vineyards where he’ll explain why cool climate wines are so unique, and how vines grown mere metres apart can have such varying characteristics and our approach to optimising those qualities.
Simon will highlight the unique traits of each vineyard and how, coupled with outstanding winemaking techniques, each produce truly exemplary wines.
Naturally, you’ll taste the highlighted wines along the trail!
Returning to the warmth of The Restaurant, a four-course set menu awaits, showcasing the very best seasonal produce from our estate-gardens, alongside local ingredients sourced from across our region.
As each course arrives at the table, your hosts Simon Black (Chief Winemaker, Montalto) and Imogen Dillon (Chief Winemaker, Ten Minutes by Tractor) will share their impressive knowledge of the impact terroir has on the 8 carefully matched wines: 4 from Montalto, alongside 4 from Ten Minutes by Tractor.
Icons of the Mornington Peninsula: two producers, one region, an outstanding menu alongside award-winning wines. This is an experience not to be missed.
Please note: this is an all weather event. Please ensure you wear waterproof walking shoes, and bring an umbrella just in case!
