The day begins with a personal tour of the winery that will bring to life our winemaking philosophy - what we do and why we do it, right here in the cool climate of the Mornington Peninsula grape growing region. Personally hosted by our winemaking team, taste our wines straight from the barrel and learn about the important changes taking place as the wines mature and develop over time. Through this in-depth tasting and discussion, you’ll learn the differences from vineyard to vineyard, as they individually reflect the winemaking quality, and why we are recognised as a “Red Five Star” Halliday rated winery.
After lunch, we invite you to explore the Montalto Sculpture Trail. Sculpture is an integral part of life at Montalto and a highlight of any visit to the estate. Our 1km Sculpture Trail winds through our vines, along wooden boardwalks and through the wetlands and affords spectacular views of both the sculptures and the property along the way. Many of our permanent sculptures were winners of the Montalto Sculpture Prize -
among the most valuable private sculpture prizes in Australia.
