“This project began as a tribute to David Byrne and Brian Eno, two performing artists who together and individually have made so much great music. In addition to this they have pursued their creativity in brilliant ways in other fields in the arts. I regard both as great artists in our time. One of their earliest musical collaborations was called "My Life in the Bush of Ghosts", hence my attempt to create a "Bush of Ghosts"

I began with this simple intent but then I started thinking about ghosts in my life... I guess I've encountered some ghosts, in places not far from here, when I've been walking. I've felt the spirit of the land, the presence of the land's ancestors perhaps. Nothing to be afraid of. Good company in my opinion.

I thought about the ghosts that I can call my own. There's no need to go into it. Suffice to say that my ghosts are nothing to be afraid of either.

They are the most gorgeous creatures you could ever imagine.” Ben Carroll
