Silicon bronze, 330 x 240 x 240 cm
Acquired 2003
Coil forms part of Andrew Rogers’ long-running Rhythms of Life series, a global project that explores movement, continuity and the patterns that connect people and landscape. Cast in silicon bronze, the sculpture spirals upward in a looping form that captures both tension and release, creating a quiet moment of focus along the Sculpture Trail. Its curves react beautifully to shifting light throughout the day, inviting visitors to follow its gesture before returning their eye to the surrounding vines and sky.
