Mornington Peninsula
‘’2022 was a wonderful vintage for Syrah. Blueberries, Kirsch, and blackberry meld with a medley of fresh spices including star anise, cinnamon, clove and nutmeg. A playful wet-stone minerality adds further interest alongside some citrus and olive tapenade aromas. On the palate, generous dark cherry fruit fuses with bitter dark chocolate. The palate is seamless with chalk-like tannins and a cooling acid line giving the impression of reserved power.''
Simon Black, Chief Winemaker.
REVIEWS
“Tuerong is a warmer site on the peninsula, yet this shows a coolness as it’s neither weighty nor jammy. It’s refined, detailed and superfine. Everything is in balance – the fruit, the oak, the textural, raw-silk tannins and the uplifting acidity; it just tastes so good. The finest syrah on the peninsula hands down.” Score 96/100.
