A single vineyard wine from 1.2 acres of vines planted in 1990 at our home vineyard in Red Hill South. Not usually recognised as a variety associated with the Mornington Peninsula, but Vineyard Manager, Dan Prior, loves the resilient growing qualities Riesling has to offer and its ability to deliver high-quality fruit year in, year out.
Florals ofappleblossom, lime zest andtalc supportedby white fleshedstone fruit,candied lemon peel andtangerine.Add in fresh nettles,fennel seed,wet stone,and some yeastycharacters.The palateshowsgenerous textural qualities with a tight minerally finish andlively acidity.
