$2,000 for two people.
The “road trip” begins at the winery, where a member of our award-winning winemaking team will guide you through a barrel tasting of current vintage wines, whilst explaining how each was made. Then, armed with a selection of Montalto provisions for the journey, it’s time for a picturesque road-trip through Peninsula microclimates. You will experience first-hand the sense of place that characterises our Single Vineyard Pinot Noirs. Visiting our vineyards at Tuerong, Merricks and Main Ridge, you will see the soil, explore the vines, and taste the finished wines from each site.
After gaining a true appreciation for the diversity of each location and its expression in the glass, it’s time to head to Montalto for a generous lunch (with matched wines) in The Restaurant, whilst taking in stunning views across our home vineyard in Red Hill.
Specifically designed to share, curated collections of dishes will arrive at the table in a series of courses. Each course masterfully highlights the deep connection between our estate gardens (expertly managed by our Produce Manager Julie Bennett), our kitchens and our award-winning wines, inspired by our Culinary Creative Director, Matt Wilkinson.
After lunch, we invite you to explore the Montalto Sculpture Trail. Sculpture is an integral part of life at Montalto and a highlight of any visit to the estate. Our 1km Sculpture Trail winds through our vines, along wooden boardwalks and through the wetlands and affords spectacular views of both the sculptures and the property along the way. Many of our permanent sculptures were winners of the Montalto Sculpture Prize – among the most valuable private sculpture prizes in Australia
