Our front of house team brings a wealth of food and wine knowledge and warmth to the dining experience. We pride ourselves on continuing to offer a consistently high standard of food and wine since opening in 2002.

As part of the regional dining experience, our wine list highlights what that the Mornington Peninsula does best, in a regional and international context, with reference to a range of varietals.

The relaxed elegance of the Montalto Restaurant is set in a striking and harmonious landscape building featuring rammed earth walls, timber frames and rough-hewn floor boards.  Floor to ceiling windows take advantage of the breathtaking and rambling rural outlook of vines, olive groves, sculpture, lakes and wetlands, with pasture, and a hint of the ocean as the backdrop.

The Restaurant is in high demand on weekends in particular, during school holidays and the warmer months when reservations are essential. Reservations can be made online, by calling us on 03 5989 8412 or by emailing restaurant@montalto.com.au.

Reservations

Bookings are required to provide us with credit card details to confirm and secure a reservation.

Reservations are recommended at all times so that we can ensure we give you the best possible table and service. Montalto is particularly busy at weekends and during school holidays at which time reservations are essential at your earliest convenience.

Everyday we offer our full menu to choose from; two courses is $70, three course is $80pp. Our 6 course tasting menu is available for $115.

Children

Children are welcome at Montalto Restaurant, we offer high chairs and have some space allocation for prams, however to assist us to plan we ask that you request these at the time of making your reservation. We offer a two course children’s menu for children up to 12 years of age, at $45pp.

Groups

In our main dining room we are able to accommodate groups of up to 10 guests with a $20pp deposit. Bookings are required to provide us with credit card details to confirm and secure a reservation.

Cancellation Policy:
24 hours notice for any changes
‘No Shows’ incurs $70pp charged to nominated credit card

Groups of 20 and above can be accommodated in our beautiful Private Dining Room.

Please call to notify the restaurant if you are running late. Montalto reserves the right to re-book your table if you fail to arrive at your reserved time slot within 30 minutes.
