2016 Pennon Hill Chardonnay – Gold medal, Sydney Royal Wine Show
Lemon and lime sherbet, nashi pear, ripe nectarine, chalk and slate notes combine with delicious roasted hazelnuts aromas.
2015 Montalto Estate Shiraz – 95 points and 3 gold medals
A single vineyard wine from our famed Tuerong site. A complex array of liquorice, black olives, pepper, nutmeg and cloves combine with black and blue fruits. Rich and balanced with a long and savoury finish.
2016 The Eleven Single Vineyard Chardonnay – 5 gold medals
Its bouquet is complex thanks to a degree of engineered funk, then a vigorous and long palate leaving no questions unanswered. It will cruise through the next 5-10 years.
2015 Montalto Estate Chardonnay – 96 points
A decidedly funky complexity plays throughout the bouquet and the long palate yet breaks free into utter purity on the finish and – in particular – the aftertaste. Grapefruit is the key in terms of fruit, giving emphasis on the back-palate and finish.
2015 Merricks Block Pinot Noir – 96 points, 2 gold medals
A hyper-fragrant bouquet sends multiple messages of fruit and forest, not letting you proceed to the palate. Red berries, blue fruits, spice and some bushland fragrance on the nose. The sweet fruit is fresh and bright with lovely purity and generosity. Savoury and forest undergrowth flavours add an extra dimension with a subtle kick of smoky oak. This wine shows a sensuous tannin profile, with a dry, spicy finish of excellent length.
2015 Red Hill Block Pinot Noir – 95 points
Brilliant garnet colour. Intense cherry and blood plum fruit are the driving force behind our Red Hill single vineyard release, together with some earth and graphite aromas and a whisper of integrated mocha oak. A concentration of fruit together with an abundance of fine tannins and bright acidity provides length and structure. There’s a minerality and savoury line flowing through on the long finish.
