Mornington Peninsula
The Merricks Pinot Noir embodies boasts rich colour and impressive weight. It opens with sweet plum and dark cherry, initially veiling the more reserved notes of red currant and raspberry. This bold and generous wine also exhibits hints of charcuterie and a slightly more pronounced oak presence when compared to its Single Vineyard counterparts. The incorporation of whole bunch tempers the juiciness, creating a savory structure that complements the abundant fruit. A more tannin driven wine, where the acid plays a supporting role offering freshness rather than overt brightness.
